イタリアはナポリ出身のピアニスト、Bruno Bavota(ブルーノ・バヴォタ)。
新作『The Secret Of The Sea』はとても美しくて素晴らしい作品ですね!
Hello everyone! I'm Bruno Bavota, an Italian modern classical pianist and composer, but first of all I'm a man who tries to find love by music. I live in Naples, a warm and wonderful town near the seaside situated in the south of Italy. I started my career in 2010 with my first self-released solo piano album "Il pozzo d'amor". Three years after I released my 2nd album "La casa sulla Luna" (Lizard) it took me to an amazing concert at Royal Albert Hall. Last April was out my third album "The secret of the Sea" (Psychonavigation) which is also available in Japan in a beautiful limited edition.
Your new album "The Secret of the Sea" is really beautiful and fantastic! What do you have the concept when you start to make this?
Wow! Thank you for this! It all started in my town, Naples, and from the deep relationship I have with it and particularly with the thing I most love about it, the sea. I love the seafront at night, a few minutes by bike and you are there, the landscape is truly breathtaking. Concerning the signature style of the album I had in mind a specific sound to realize that I have found combining a particular reverb and delay with electric guitar, my intent was to give an essential support to the piano.
What inspires you to create music?
First of all my inspirations comes from all things that happened to me day by day: love, dreams, tears, smiles. So in my music you can find all my deepest emotions, my heart and my soul. I think music is like a flame inside your heart, something that could make you warm and alive!
Do you think that you were influenced by any kind of music?
Definitely by quiet sounds, music that carries a sort of authenticity inside and could bring you in a parallel universe.
How did you become interested in sound construction?
Before become a musician, I was a music eater. I spent a lot of time, during my adolescence, to listen to the music. Then, I simply started to play my brother’s lefthanded acoustic guitar and some years after I started to play piano. From that moment I was totally embraced by music.
"The Secret of the Sea" was released from Psychonavigation. How is the label?
Working with Keith it's great, he really takes care about the artist and he's always open to every artist's requests.
How is the music scene in Italy for you?
I think it's a little bit dramatic! It's really hard to play in Italy, moreover for this kind of music.
You will come to Japan! How do you feel the Japan?
Yes! I'll come in the end of March, the tour is still in construction. I'm happy to come and looking forward to feel the heartbeats of your wonderful country. This will be my first time in Japan.
Do you have some favorite japanese artists?
It could be common, but one of my favourite is Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Please let me know near future plan.
I'll play in a wonderful festival in Munchen on 10th January and probably I'll do a piano concert in Minsk, Belarus.
Please give a massage to Japanese fans!
Ohayogozaimasu! O genki desu Ka? Looking forward to see you in Japan and play for you!
